Description
Container Insights provides detailed CloudWatch information about resource use and operation of ECS clusters and services. Missing the observations needed for troubleshooting can delay diagnosis of performance problems or task failures.
An omitted cluster setting can inherit the account setting, so verify the effective state. It does not mean that all basic ECS metrics or other monitoring are unavailable.
Potential impact
- Increased resource use or signs of failure can be noticed late.
- Diagnosis and recovery can take longer when several services share a cluster.
Remediation
Set name: containerInsights and value: enabled in spec.forProvider.settings. If you need more detail, consider enhanced where supported by your provider. Review collection costs and access permissions, then verify CloudWatch metrics, dashboards and alarms after deployment.
