Schedule scans

You can schedule recurring scans for individual projects or configure a common schedule for all projects.

Schedule a project scan

Menu path: Projects > Overview > project row > more menu > Schedule

Configure a separate schedule for each project.

  1. Open the more menu on the right of the project row.
  2. Select Schedule.
  3. In Cron Expression, enter the frequency in this order: seconds, minutes, hours, day of month, month, day of week.
  4. Select one or more scan types.
  5. If an option is locked, check whether you have permission to use that feature.
  6. Select Schedule.
  7. Check the scheduling success message.

Scan types available for scheduling

  • SECRET
  • SAST
  • SCA
  • IAC
  • LICENSE

ROUTE, MCP, Skill, and Repository are not available in the per-project scheduling dialog.

Selecting multiple scan types creates a separate schedule for each type. Schedule names are generated automatically from the project and branch information.

Per-project schedules request scans regardless of whether the source has changed. However, if a job for the same project and scan type is already Pending or Running, no duplicate job is created.

Enter the frequency manually

Enter six space-separated values in Cron Expression, in this order:

text
seconds minutes hours day-of-month month day-of-week

The default example, 0 0 0 * * 0, runs every Sunday at 00:00. Check that the explanation below the field matches the frequency you want. You cannot save an invalid expression.

View project schedules

View in Projects

The Schedule column in the Projects table is hidden by default. Enable it in the column settings to view:

  • Scheduled status
  • Scheduled scan types
  • Frequency description
  • Saved time zone

View and delete in Schedule

Menu path: Schedule

Admins and Super Admins can view:

  • Schedule name
  • Project and branch
  • Job type
  • Entered expression and its displayed explanation
  • Creation date

You can filter by schedule name, project, and job type, and select one or more schedules to delete.

Automatic scans for all projects

Menu path: Integrations > Settings > Scan Scheduling

Automatic scans for all projects operate separately from per-project schedules and target every registered project.

  1. Open Integrations as a Super Admin.
  2. Select Configure on the Settings card to open Scan Scheduling.
  3. Turn on Enable Scheduling.
  4. Select Daily, Weekly, or Custom.
  5. Set the execution time or enter the frequency manually.
  6. Check the frequency displayed on the screen.
  7. Select Save.
  8. Check the message confirming that scheduling is enabled.

Select a frequency

  • Daily: Runs once a day at the specified time.
  • Weekly: Runs once a week on the specified day and time.
  • Custom: Enter the frequency manually using six values.

Examples:

text
0 0 0 * * * Every day at 00:00
0 */10 * * * * Every 10 minutes
0 0 12 * * MON Every Monday at 12:00

At the scheduled time, SECRET, SAST, SCA, IAC, and LICENSE scans are requested for all projects. You cannot change the scan types on this screen.

A new job may not be created if:

  • The source has not changed since the previous scan.
  • It is not possible to determine whether the source has changed.
  • A job for the same project and scan type is already Pending or Running.

Turning off Enable Scheduling and saving removes the automatic schedule for all projects.

Deleting a per-project schedule or disabling automatic scans stops future runs only. Jobs already created are not automatically canceled or deleted.

Check the time zone

Both scheduling methods save the browser's configured time zone.

  • Before creating a schedule, check that the browser uses your operational time zone.
  • If an administrator in another region recreates the schedule, the saved time zone may change.
  • You can view a per-project schedule's saved time zone in the Schedule column of Projects.

Troubleshooting

The Schedule menu or button is missing

Check that your role is Admin or Super Admin. Only Super Admins can access automatic scheduling for all projects.

A scan type is locked

Check your permission to use that feature. Route and insider threat scans are not supported by per-project scheduling and do not appear in the list.

Cannot save a manually entered frequency

  • Check that there are six space-separated values.
  • Check the order: seconds minutes hours day-of-month month day-of-week.
  • For Custom, refer to the on-screen examples and error messages.

The scan does not run at the expected time

  • Check the saved time zone.
  • Check the day-of-week, hour, and minute values you entered.
  • Check Jobs for jobs created at that time.
