Description
OSS transfer acceleration is an optional feature that optimizes long-distance uploads and downloads through a dedicated endpoint. Leaving it disabled is not itself a security vulnerability.
Potential impact
Large object transfers may take longer where the ordinary internet path has high latency.
Remediation
If testing confirms the need, set transfer_acceleration.enabled = true and switch clients to the acceleration endpoint. Check the additional transfer charges.
Examples
The examples enable transfer acceleration. Enabling it while continuing to use the ordinary endpoint does not accelerate requests.
